Description

​This is a Senior Network Engineer position with Visa's Corporate Network Engineering team. The selected candidate will work with a high performing team to develop and design robust networks for Visa's global corporate network infrastructure, which includes Wireless, Citrix and Cisco VPN services. Key responsibilities:
-Plan, design, implement, and provide ongoing support of network systems of high complexity in corporate network environment , fulfill business needs for performance and cost benefits
-Serve as a technical lead for hardware installation, configuration, and operational support of these networks' Wireless, Citrix and Cisco VPN services and the routers, switches used to support these services.
-Provide 3rd level technical support to Visa clients and to technical teams within Visa to resolve network issues and to support the implementation of new network solutions
-Evaluate new technology and bring opportunities forward that would improve the future network architecture, performance, and network services
-Ensure full compliance of Visa Key Controls and Technical Service Requirements for all network architecture, designs, and implementations both past and present
-Ensure all changes go through appropriate review, change control, and acceptance before implementation
-Lead development, testing and QA functions to ensure that projects are securely delivered and fulfill expectations
-Build and maintain relationships with global and virtual teams and third parties on network development or support issues
-Provide highest level of technical consultancy to ensure problem resolution is achieved in the shortest possible timeframe
-Work with the Information Security Office to ensure solutions deployed meet Visa Security Requirements and provide technical assistance for investigation and analysis of security alerts
-Development of processes and procedures for use by the Network team and third parties in the management of network environments
-Develop and position solutions and build plans to effectively gain buy-in from all participants
-Develop and streamline processes to further improve delivery of Global Network and Telecommunication services
-Provide recommendations to management team to increase effectiveness of organization and technology solutions

Qualifications
-At least 5 years related experience in infrastructure/network environments and designing, planning, documenting and implementing LANs and WANs using latest technology
-At least 3 years of experience in a Sr. Network Engineering role
-CCIE certification or a Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering is preferred
-Expertise on IP Technologies and extensive knowledge of large global Wireless deployments
-Expert engineering knowledge of network hardware, specifically Cisco routers and switches, with a strong focus on Wireless, Cisco VPN products and campus wireless technologies
-Extensive experience and expertise on IP routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
-Expert engineering knowledge of Citrix platforms, including provisioning, configuration, optimization of Citrix and call center applications.
-Knowledge of Cisco encryption technologies (IPSec, SSL), and hot standby protocols HSRP and VRRP
-Advanced understanding of TCP/IP network protocols, including common application protocols
-Experience in high-availability Corporate networks in, n-tier application environments
-Experience with Cisco wireless technology
-CCIE, CCNA, or CCNP Routing and Switching certification preferred
-ITIL certification preferred
-Self-sufficient with the ability to make engineering decisions within the documented configuration requirements and control processes
-This position will need to be able to communicate and work effectively with implementation teams, customer relations, and internal/external customers to engineer solutions to meet the needs of all stakeholders
-Advanced process orientation and exhibited planning, organizational, and problem solving skills
-Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and leadership skills along with effective communication (both written and verbal in English) skills
-The ability to support network operations in an on-call fashion is a requirement
